I just interviewed the legendary AGSmiless from YouTube and Instagram! This is crazy! For those of you who aren't familiar with her work, she is the creator of "The Realm of Arragarra" and "Aspen Heights"! "Aspen Heights" has become wildly popular in the American Girl Doll fandom and AGSmiless is one of the best YouTubers AG has! Right next to Basilmentos! I interviewed her and here's what she said!
EDS: What made you want to start "Aspen Heights"?
AGSmiless: Well, ever since I started AGTube, Ive wanted to do a series, I thought the idea was super cool and I had a bunch of ideas!
EDS: Which character are you most like on "Aspen Heights"?
AGSmiless: Hmm… I think I'm sort of a mix of everyone! Callan's sarcasm, Elita's determination, Cassie's additude, etc!
EDS: How did you come up with the storyline for "Aspen Heights"?
AGSmiless: It all just came to me one day! I was in seventh or eighth grade when I thought up the initial idea. But it didn't come to life until much later. I actually filmed 3 different pilots (years apart from each other) before actually deciding to upload.
EDS: Which is more fun to film, "Aspen Heights" or "The Realm of Arragarra"?
AGSmiless: I really liked filming "The Realm Of Arragarra" season 1, but when season 2 came around, I had little motivation. "Aspen Heights" is like my baby. I'll always favor it.
EDS: Who was your first doll?
AGSmiless: My first doll was My American Girl (Just Like You at the time) #13. I originally named her Kirsten, the I changed it to Vanessa, Jen, Sophie and finally Aly. She's now customized with a MAG #28's wig.
EDS: What year did you get your first doll/how old were you?
AGSmiless: I was eight years old and it was 2006. I had been begging for an AG for years since I had two Bitty Babies since I was 2, but my mom was worried I would mess up the dolls hair due to the fact that I had cut all my Barbie's hair, but eventually she gave in.
EDS: When did you start AGTube?
AGSmiless: I got my first channel in 2011, but I had been watching and been involved with YouTube since much earlier. I was just nervous to get my first channel. I actually had two channels before I made "AGSmiless".
EDS: When did you start AGIG?
AGSmiless: I started AGIG on August 27, 2013, however that original account got disabled by YouTube on January 5, 2015, so I had to make this account.
EDS: Where do you film your series?
AGSmiless: I film all around! I have this big wash behind my house and just past it is a bunch of open land. It ranges from grassy areas to desert, to large holes (TROA) and there is even a little man made lake!
EDS: Do your friends know about your dolls and YouTube?
AGSmiless: Yup! I truied to keep it a secret, but I love it too much to hold it in. My friends and family are extremely supportive, I am very lucky!
