American Girl Hearing Aids Review

This is Cassidy. Cassidy loves cheerleading, cooking and playing dolls. On the outside Cassidy may look like a typical My American Girl Doll #53, but she is different in many ways.

One way is that Cassidy suffers from a 60-decibel hearing loss. Cassidy has the American Girl brand hearing aids in both ears.

She was fitted for them on January 5, 2013 at American Girl Place Boston. The hearing aids retail for $14 and can be fitted in one or both ears (you choose) for the same price.

When American Girl gives your doll hearing aids, they make a permanent piercing (similar to the piercing they give when a doll gets their ears pierced) behind the doll's ear so the hearing aid fits snugly.

As you can see, the hearing aids are pink with white tubing and a pink ear mold. They look very realistic.

When your doll gets hearing aids, American Girl includes a little pamphlet on how to learn ASL (American Sign Language).

The white tubing on the hearing aid is bendable so you can position it the way you choose.

If you lose one (or both) of your hearing aids, at the store you can show a worker or your personal shopper that you have a doll with hearing aids and they will give you two new ones for free!

The American Girl hearing aids are definitely in my top 3 for favorite doll accessory. They are adorable and make your dolls very unique.

RATE: 10 out of 10!
