Hey!
For this interview, I thought I'd interview my friend Mirabella from ShiningStarAG on Instagram and Blogger, and StarAGDolls from Youtube! Mirabella is a definitely a shining star! She sells earrings and lots of other things to raise money to buy American Girl Dolls and accessories for girls in Boston Children's Hospital with her friend, Katherine! Last year they raised a total of around $600 and this year they raised $342 so far!
EDS: What exactly are you doing?
SSAG: My friend and I sold, earrings, ornaments and more at our local Harvest Festival. We arrived early to set up our booth. We met a lot of really inspiring people and had so much fun! We also had a coloring station where kids could color cards for kids at Boston Children's Hospital. It was such a big hit! We raised $342 so far and made so many memories!
EDS: What gave you the idea to start this for Boston Children's Hospital?
SSAG: American Girl Magazine!
EDS: How many dolls, books and accessories were you and your friend able to purchase last year for Boston Children's Hospital?
SSAG: We were able to buy six dolls, two Bitty Baby stuffed animals, 4 movies, two Bitty snack cups, six books, over 50 American Girl Magazines, about 100 Saige Hot Air Balloon crafts, over 40 Saige t-shirts, and much more!
EDS: What do you like about raising money and giving sick girls in the hospital these toys?
SSAG: I love having the feeling that I'm making a child who's in the hospital smile and being able to make them happy while they are at the hospital.
EDS: Who helped you with raising money for this charity?
SSAG: My friend Katherine, American Girl Place Boston manager Ashley Newhall, and our parents.
EDS: What are you selling to raise money for BCH?
SSAG: We sold earrings, ornaments, notebooks, cards, and a bunch of Crayola stuff. We raised $342 and a lot of people just gave donations too, so that was great!
EDS: Do you have any more plans for selling this year?
SSAG: We will be hopefully selling at our local Holiday Festival and hoping to reach our goal of $700. American Girl said that if we reach our goal, they will donate a BeForever Samantha doll!
