What's not to love about "TrulyMe"?

Hey!

American Girl released a new and improved line of their famous "Just Like Me" dolls today! Yay! Although it wasn't as big as I was expecting, I kind of like the fact that it wasn't a whole revamp, and that they kept most of the dolls and outfits the same.

The new line, titled "Truly Me", has also been called "American Girl of Today", "Just Like You" (JLY), "My American Girl" (MAG). The initial line was started in 1995, and has then experienced 11 "meet outfits" (the dolls outfits they are wearing when they come out of the box). These outfits have been called everything from "The Mix and Match Outfit" (1995, release) to the "Red Vinyl Jumper Outfit" (1998) to the "True Spirit Outfit" (2012). The new meet outfit from the TrulyMe release is the "Lilac Dress". The meet outfits have been changed roughly every two years.
