Kailey Ray donated her hair to an organization that helps to make wigs for cancer patients when she was six. Kailey, who is now nine, is on a mission to donate 100 American Girl Dolls to kids at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She has already donated 30 dolls around Christmastime and is planning on donating 20 more come Easter. Kailey is making enough money to buy all of these dolls through her knitting business, Kai's Love Hats. Kailey and her grandmother hand stitch matching hat and ski band sets one for a doll and one for the girl for $10. All the proceeds are used to buy the dolls. i am definitely going to buy a set for me and my dolls, not just because they are donating AGs to cancer patients, but the hats are super cute too!
Here is a picture of Kailey at the American Girl Store purchasing all of these dolls to give to little girls with cancer.

Hi Alexa!!! I was doing some googling and I saw that you wrote about me. Thank you so much! I am 9 years old and live in Cincinnati. I knit hats and ski bands with the help of my family, friends and our community. I sell them for $10 and use the money to buy American Girl dolls for girls in the Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. I love this project and I love helping people. Its so great to know that I have given girls the chance to love their new dolls as much as I love mine. I would love to talk to you all more about the project and about American Girl dolls. Please check out our facebook page (Kai's Love Hats) or email me at kaislovehats@yahoo.com. Love, Kailey
